My last visit to Bridgwater was so helpful to Bailey. She is now on the mend and nearly completed her medication. Eating and is down to her normal water drinking What I would say from Bailey s Opp. She was drinking 2 to 2.5 huge bowls of water. I put this down to her being hot in her suit or the meds. I called about the meds and found out it wasn t them. Bailey went downhill and lost weight, still drinking. throwing up and bleeding heavily via her back passage. I do feel that the drinking of the water and not eating could have been picked up sooner. I had been in and given meds for her sickness, which worked for throwing up but she needed antibiotics. I personally don t like antibiotics but see the necessity in these cases. I am so grateful to her last vet in making this decision and seeing that Bailey had an infection which in hindsight must have been from the Opp which happens.

The plus side of your practice is that it’s open 7 days a week and it is easy to be seen. The down side for me is you never see the same vet twice, where I used to live I had a set vet I saw the majority of the time. It creates history and rapport, a family practice feel and I miss this. Having a vet I know and trust rather than it always being someone different , the vets don’t seem to stay. It also made managing vet trips more economical as my vet knew me and my capabilities as an owner and would trust my judgement on things - for example me knowing the eye drops given for a cats eye infection were not working and I needed something else, my old vet would have booked this out for me to try and I would have paid for meds only. But with quantock I had to come back in and see another diffenret vet and be charged £70 for what I could have agreed to over the phone with a practice who knows me and knows my animals. The appointments get very expensive very quickly and I’m not sure I always see value. Recently seen for 10 minutes and given a course of antibiotics for £98. It’s a lot for owners.

My only comment is that too many appointments are made for the same time resulting in overcrowding, at the time of my appointment there were two people with each the three other dogs there.

So far my experience with this vet has been exceptional. Every person I have communicated with here have been so friendly and lovely. Louise was absolutely amazing with my rabbit. She made me feel so at ease and understood and had so much empathy. She has restored my faith in vets. Was well worth the travel!!

Fantastic as always

The price keep s going up since it as gone to a company I am looking to go to a smaller vet after 20 years at your vets because they are more cheaper.

We took Nala to the Hospital late Friday morning, early hours Saturday, the response was quick to what Nala had and dealt with very efficiently. We can t them the Team enough at Quantock. 10 out of 10 and more. Thank you all at Quantock. Best Wishes. Mrs Katsouris

The staff are amazing and the level of care they provided my girl were second to none. I can’t recommend this practice or its staff enough. I know my pets are in the best hands no matter how poorly they are.

We have taken our dogs here the last few years and we wouldn’t go anywhere else. I know everything they do is in the best interest for our pet. Never had any problems and the before and after care is brilliant. Special mention to Louise who always goes above and beyond with her service! The estimate was way above what was originally said, they was supposed to phone/text to let us know if everything was ok but I had to ring 12 hours later to check on my dog. More communication should be given.

I appreciate very much the care given to my cat, however, I m sure like many other people the cost is a factor. It s not cheap to look after our pets

We have been with the vet for a few months only and can say in all departments we have felt safe the Molly our Cavapoo is getting the best attention and caring- as time goes on we hope that this will continue

Only Buddy is so frightened about coming to you. In the waiting room was 3 dogs same owner, that went mad, which wasn t a help. However l understand the problem with trying to keep them separate. Buddy is definitely a fight not flight dog. In the pandemic Buddy was only a puppy and he had to leave me ( his mum lol) in the car park, since then a do muzzle him visiting the vets. But he gets so excited in the car wanting to come to you.
